CFA Society Finland Research Challenge 2026 competition concluded with an exciting final event at the end of February. Four teams participated to the final showcasing their research on Tokmanni.

CFA Society Finland’s annual Forecast Dinner brought members together at Restaurant Finlandia Bistro in Helsinki for an evening of insightful discussion, networking, and recognition. Guests reviewed the 2025 forecast results, heard forward-looking market perspectives from keynote speaker Altaf Kassam, CFA, and celebrated achievements within the Society’s community.

Finsif and CFA Society Finland co-hosted a seminar on the investment implications of the energy transition, bringing together leading experts and market participants at Pörssitalo in Helsinki. The discussion highlighted how transition risks and opportunities are reshaping asset allocation across all asset classes— and why investors play a critical role in driving progress.

Investment Career Accelerator Network is a free career platform that helps students connect classroom learning to real-world finance careers. ICAN strengthens finance journeys by giving early talent confident career direction, credible insights, and a path towards their first role.

CFA Society Finland celebrated its traditional Christmas Dinner and Charter Awards on 4 December at Hotel Mestari in Helsinki, featuring engaging conversations and an inspiring presentation on Nordic startups by Jyri Engeström of Lifeline Ventures. We also warmly welcomed our newest Charterholders. On the same evening, Estonian members gathered in Tallinn for their annual Christmas Dinner, highlighted by two insightful systematic equity strategy presentations

Fall event schedule continued in November with Fidelity’s Madeleine Kuang speaking on Asia area market outlook. Interesting topics covered with lively Q&A session with the audience.

A new season of Research Challenge is here. CFA Finland team hosted the kick off session virtually at the beginning of November.

The 2025 Mercer CFA Institute Global Pension Index ranks 52 countries’ retirement systems, with the Netherlands, Iceland, and Denmark leading. This index highlights global challenges in pension adequacy, sustainability, and integrity.

CFA Society Finland gathered at Katajanokan Kasino for the 2025 Annual General Meeting & Dinner. The evening celebrated achievements from the past year, welcomed a new Board, and honored our newest charterholders. With strong momentum, we look forward to another year of growth, community, and impact.

We had a wonderful time on the Helsinki coast with old-fashioned wooden sailing ship Astrid. CFA members and candidates hopped onboard on a cloudy but enjoyable evening filled with great discussion and delicious food and drinks.

As tradition we held a candidate networking event after the May exam rounds of the CFA exams. It was important hearing thought from the attendees on their respective candidate experiences.

We were delighted to arrange a professional learning breakfast on the topic of digital euro at the end of May. The attendees got an interesting glimpse into the preparation stage of this initiative.

Helsinki was the setting for the fifth annual Nordic Investment Conference. CFA Society Finland was grateful to welcome a great number of attendees from the Nordics and beyond. This was a day filled with presentations, discussions, networking and new insights.

On February 27th we organized the final event of Research Challenge in Helsinki with four finalist teams participating. After a suspenseful event we celebrated this year’s winner.
