Our year started off with a fun evening at the casino. Networking, poker and dinner was on the agenda on this Janury evening with our members and candidates.

We were happy to gather with members for the last time during 2024 at our Christmas events in Helsinki and Tallinn. Also the latest charterholders at our Society were awarded.

CFA Society Finland hosted a real-estate themed event with Fidelity International in mid-November. Topic sparked much conversation which hopefully will continue at a later event.

Local Research Challenge has kicked off for this year with nine participating universities from Finland and Estonia. Kempower as a subject company and FactSet as data provider, it will be an interesting research project for the students again!

CFA Society Finland hosted a really interesting discussion on alternative credit end of October. Audience took part as our terrific speakers elaborated on this topic, specifically the private credit markets in United States.

Jan Street provided a lovely evening for CFA Society Finland members with some discussion on bond markets and ETF’s as well as tasty wine varieties.

Forecast Dinner was spent in festive spirits on the 29th February. The evening featured a great keynote and awards for the year 2023 were announced.

Research Challenge local final is always a very exciting event at CFA Society Finland. Months of work by the students is ready and presented to the judge panel. This year we were happy to invite four teams to the final.

CFA Society Finland celebrated traditional Christmas Dinner and Charter Awards both in Tallinn and Helsinki. At the Helsinki event, we welcomed Constantino Carugno, VTT as a keynote speaker on quantum computers and the possibilities in finance.
