CFA Society Finland organized traditional June networking event inviting members and candidates along. A beautiful scenic cruise in Helsinki crowned the event calendar for this operational year.

We were happy to be able to invite female members and candidate to an event concentrating on what it is like to be a woman in the finance industry, what drives us, what are the challenges and how to better empower both ourselves as well as each other.

We hosted a terrific “Private equity investments - the institutional approach” event at the beautiful Hotel Kämp in Helsinki, bringing together well over 30 members. on 14 April 2023. The event included an insightful and thought-provoking panel discussion, together with networking opportunities.

CFA Institute has announced significant enhancements to the CFA Program as part of its continual efforts to evolve the Program. CFA Society Finland annual Christmas Dinner was held December 8th. We were happy to welcome eight new charterholders to our Society. Evening’s presentation was offered by Niklas Kaskeala, Compensate.

CFA Institute’s Brad Jealous and Julia McDonough gave a really interesting workshop on ethical decision-making at the end of November. The workshop was organized for our Affiliate University students here in Finland.

We had a very interesting conversation on sustainable regulation aspects in Europe and the global sphere. Gabriel Wilson-Otto, CFA and Nathaële Rebondy shared thoughts at our breakfast event at Hotel Klaus K.

CFA Society Finland was happy to welcome Niko Pakalén and Kai Tavakka, CFA as our experts into the topic of active investing. This pleasant afternoon event was held in Helsinki to our members.

A new season of Research Challenge began. Eight teams competing this year, as the students are researching Valmet in this local leg of the global competition.

It was time for some fall networking for our Society. We met at the Helsinki Distilling Company this late October for a tour&tasting.
