CFA Society Finland hosted a seminar jointly with Finsif under the theme "Climate crisis is here. Can EU Sustainable Finance Regulation make a difference?" The seminar was attended by almost 100 industry participants. It was organised as a side event to the World Circular Economy Forum organised by Sitra that kicked off the same day.

We hosted a breakfast presentation and Q&A session with guest speaker Emily Haisley, who leads the Risk and Quantitative Analysis Behavioural Finance initiative for BlackRock in Europe.

The team did a fine job at EMEA Regional leg of CFA Research Challenge in Zürich. Despite of not qualifying for the Global Finals, they enjoyed their time and gained invaluable experience. Team Turku consists of Antti Koskivuo, Miika Vähä-Kreula, Kaisa Olli and Taneli Aho.

CFA Society Finland recently welcomed Kari Vatanen, CFA, FRM, Head of Cross Assets and Allocation at Varma Pension Insurance Company to a Factor Investing workshop, based on his published articles on the topic.

The winner of the CFA Research Challenge Finland 2018-19 is Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku! Today CFA Society Finland hosted the CFA Research Challenge local finals at Hotel Kämp. The event is special for us as it is of utmost importance for CFA Society Finland to promote high standards in equity research for students!
