Forecast Dinner 2026 gathered members end of February
CFA Society Finland hosted its annual Forecast Dinner on 25 February 2026 at Restaurant Finlandia Bistro in Helsinki, bringing together members and guests for an engaging evening of insights, discussion, and networking in an elegant and welcoming atmosphere.
The event combined thought-provoking presentations with lively conversation over dinner, as participants reflected on the outcomes of the 2025 forecasts while also turning their attention toward expectations for the year ahead. The evening offered an great opportunity for members of our investment community to exchange perspectives and reconnect with colleagues across the industry.
We extend our sincere thanks to our evening sponsor, State Street, to our keynote speaker, Altaf Kassam, CFA, Europe Head of Investment Strategy and Research at State Street Investment Management, and co-hosts Giuseppe Lucariello and Alexandre Jacob, along with out Society president Tuomas Hillukkala, CFA. Mr. Kassam’s presentation explored the key macroeconomic and market forces expected to shape global markets in the coming year, offering valuable perspectives on balancing global exposure across equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities.
Following dinner, attendees reviewed the much-anticipated results of the 2025 forecasting competition, presented by CFA Society Finland Board Member Miska Kuhalampi, CFA. The Society was delighted to recognize Niklas Salminen, CIPM, as Forecaster of the Year 2025 in acknowledgement of his outstanding forecasting performance.
The evening also provided an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of our dedicated volunteers. Hanna Savinanen, CFA, was honoured as Volunteer of the Year 2025 in recognition of her longstanding commitment to the Society, including many years of support for the Research Challenge and previous service on the Society’s Board. Warm congratulations were extended to both award recipients.
