Christmas Dinners in Helsinki and Tallinn took place on 4.12.2025
Christmas Dinner and Charter Awards in Helsinki
CFA Society Finland members gathered on 4 December for our traditional end-of-year celebration: the Christmas Dinner and Charter Awards. This year’s event took place at the elegant Hotel Mestari in Helsinki. As always, it was a pleasure to share engaging conversations, recognize new Charterholders, and enjoy an excellent dinner with fellow CFA professionals in a warm and festive setting. Our thanks go to board member Ronny Högström, CFA, for hosting the evening.
A highlight of the event was an inspiring presentation by Jyri Engeström, Partner at Lifeline Ventures. Jyri delivered an energetic deep dive into the world of Nordic—and especially Finnish—startups, emphasizing the important role that venture capital and entrepreneurship play in driving the growth of our local economy. With numerous questions from the audience, the session evolved into a lively and interactive discussion that left participants energized. We extend our sincere thanks to Jyri for joining us.
We were also pleased to celebrate two new Charterholders within our Society. Warm congratulations to Teo Hall, CFA, and Tuomas Liukko, CFA. We are delighted to welcome you both to the local—and global—network of CFA charterholders and investment professionals.
Tallinn Christmas Dinner
On the same December 4th evening our Estonian members gathered for a traditional Christmas Dinner at Restaurant Osteria il Cru in Tallinn. The networking event included two systematic equity strategy presentations. Viljar Vald, CFA from Sarto Capital family office presented the quality factor strategy with extensive back testing results and track record in real life. Heiki Koitla from KRR Fund Alpha elaborated somewhat different approach with 4-year track record consistently outperforming S&P500 index. Both equity managers have ambition to grow their assets and attract external investors.
The participants appreciated the Christmas Dinner tradition in Tallinn and proposed to arrange another seasonal event to meet two times a year in the future.
Thank you all for joining our Christmas celebrations this year, see you in 2026 at our events!
